Days 1

Welcome to the Wild East

Saddle up, folks! This is the day all you roll into Yopal, the gateway to Colombia’s untamed Llanos. The day is yours to settle in, stretch your legs, and get a taste of town life before we head deep into the wild. If you get here early, you might fancy a stroll through town, a cold drink or a dip in the river to wash off the road dust. Need a hat, some sunscreen, or gear? We‘ll help you stock up. We will find the right cowboy hat for you!
We hit the road early, heading back through Yopal and onward to Trinidad, a small frontier town where we’ll stop for a hearty lunch. From here on, real adventure begins: no more paved roads, just dirt tracks leading us deeper into Colombia’s remote and wild savanna. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife: capybaras, caimans, and deer crossing our path. The views will be stunning along the way! By sunset, we reach the next ranch and nature reserve run by our friend Freddy, our home for the next stretch

Days 2 - 3

Days 8 - 10

Living the Cowboy Life

These next few days, we’re doing things the cowboy way: riding from ranch to ranch inside the more than 18 hectare nature reserve, working cattle, and getting a taste of the real llanero life. Here’s what’s in store: ● Cattle work: Roundups, sorting, and if the timing’s right, branding calves ● River adventures: Canoeing through lakes, lagoons, rivers and fishing for piranhas ● Wildlife spotting: Giant river otters, caimans, capybaras, anteaters, pink dolphins
Colombia’s wildlife is incredible! ● Sunrises and sunsets like you’ve never seen before.
