Wildlife safaris by foot, canoe and horseback riding on an archaeological site and a small nature
reserve.
This tour begins with a visit to the archaeological site and private museum El Llanerazo, owned by Seudiel Gualteros, one of the region’s most famous cowboys. Seudiel, once a horse tamer and worker on large cattle ranches, now shares his culture with visitors and displays indigenous artifacts and relics from his ranch work. Known for his expertise in spotting wildlife, he is especially dedicated to protecting anacondas. You’ll sleep on bamboo platforms, elevated and protected from insects. On the final day, the tour takes you to the Nature Reserve, where you can explore wildlife like caimans, capybaras, and howler monkeys, as well as other species like anteaters and birds.

Echoes of the Howler Monkeys & the Spirit of the Llanos
We kick things off on a traditional Llanero ranch, where you’ll sleep high above the ground on bamboo platforms, surrounded by the endless savanna. As the morning mist rises, we’ll venture into the gallery forests, following the haunting calls of howler monkeys and searching for birds, anteaters and the elusive anaconda. Along the way, we’ll uncover the history of the Indigenous peoples who once lived on this land, exploring their legacy through artifacts, while also learning how cattle ranching and Llanero culture have shaped the region today. When night falls, we gather by the fire, sharing stories, myths, and the music of the plains—just as generations of Llaneros have done before.
On the final day, we ride out to another working cattle ranch—where capybaras, caimans, turtles, and flocks of birds are as much a part of the scenery as the cattle themselves. We’ll spend the morning on horseback, spotting as much wildlife as we can before heading to the river for one last adventure. As the day winds down, we take to the water in a canoe, drifting through golden reflections of one of the Llanos’ legendary sunsets.
And let’s not forget the food—every meal is a taste of the Llanos, made from fresh, local ingredients. Simple, hearty, and straight from the land.

Naturaleza y cultura en los llanos
Nuestra experiencia en el Safari Llanero fue increíble y llena de hospitalidad. Desde la llegada, nos sentimos cómodos en las instalaciones y pudimos disfrutar de diversas actividades que incluyeron el contacto directo con la fauna local, como una osa palmera rescatada, y la observación de aves y otros animales en su hábitat natural. También realizamos una cabalgata por paisajes llaneros, aprendiendo sobre la flora y fauna junto a guías amables y bien informados. Al final, disfrutamos de la cultura local con música llanera y un recorrido en canoa al atardecer, lo cual hizo de esta una experiencia única y totalmente recomendable.

I spotted amazing wildlife
The horseback trek through the Colombian Savanna with you guys was an unforgettable experience. I spotted amazing wildlife, stayed in authentic ranches and truly immersed myself in the real Colombian cowboy culture. The organization was excellent. I always felt super safe and well looked after. It was a perfect mix of nature, adventure and culture. I will highly recommend it to others!!!
